Calendar Girls
Calendar Girls is a heartwarming play based on a true story. When Annie’s husband John dies of leukemia, she and her best friend Chris decide to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. Their unconventional idea? To create an “alternative” calendar featuring fellow members of the Women’s Institute (W.I.) posing nude. With the help of friends and an amateur photographer, they embark on this daring venture. The calendar’s unexpected success attracts national and international attention, but it also tests Chris and Annie’s friendship as they grapple with newfound fame and motivations.
